I actually drew a character of mine with a mullhawk but I felt bad about it, knowing that it was kinda your thing. I didn't use it after that but I still think it's pretty awesome. But yeah, I know how you feel, thats why I felt bad about it :c

theres different KINDS of mullhawks out there, but ppl keep drawing it EXACTLY how i do. THATS what bothers me lol.

i dont own the mullhawk (although alot of people have said im the only one they have ever seen with one) but i do own the style i draw it in.

I can understand how annoying it is when people don't give credit for their inspiration, but claiming to invent it? C'mon now. I usually agree with you on most things, but..

You should check out my webcam, I've had my hair like this for years now. When I went into high school, within a week at least 5 other people had the exact cut, some even the same colors I had in it before. There's really not much you can do when people are inspired, that's part of what most artistic websites are about: a place to go to grow, get critique, and inspire. People around will do what they want, and the only thing you can really control about it is how you react to them.

i saw ur pic and you have a mohawk. i am not claiming mohawks. mullhawk and mohawk are different things. a mullhawk is a combination of mullet and mohawk. there are several ways to draw this hairstyle, but some people that visit my gallery have been drawing it EXACTLY the way i do. for example, a mullhawk does not naturally fall over the front of the shoulders, but i draw it that way. a mullhawk is usually flat at the top but i draw it pointy. im going to try to make it even MORE unique by making it a DREADED mullhawk now (for my new sona anyway) but i bet people will copy even THAT. and ive done searches, NOBODY has a dreaded mullhawk, thus if THAT starts popping up all of a sudden as well i bet those people where in my gallery and didnt think it up themselves like they would have u believe.

i've had a mullhawk for years. my favorite hairstyle ever. i've been drawing characters with mullhawks for years. mullhawks are also very popular within the jrock/visual kei culture.

can you please point out as to what makes yours so unique and never-done-before-you? if i can dig through my folders, or some mohawk communities i can probably find people with the exact same style you're talking about.

I know what a mullhawk is, and I know how there are different ways to do it. The angle of that picture is off, but the front of my hair is a lot shorter than the back.. I just didn't have it cut only two lengths, it's more of an incline. But the thing is, as I'd said, people will do what they wish. If you really think the style fits the character, why change it just because a few people were uncreative and decided to copy?

As for the dreaded mullhawk, I wouldn't doubt people somewhere in real life actually have it done. Just because it's not on the internet doesn't mean it's not out there. :/ I was actually planning on getting my hair dreaded once it gets a little longer because I'm just tired of having to take care of it.
