Artist's CommentsCOLLABORATION with sketch by tazzyspazzy14 lineart, coloring by myself ***CLICK HERE TO ZOOM IN*** _____________________________________ Behold. I have finally learned how to shade. For the first time shading wasn't a pain to do. For the first time I don't look at my shading job and HATE it. Anyway, I was originally gonna work on this bit by bit, a lil every day but when I started it, it turned out to be too much fun so I kept at it till I was done. Anyway I got a commission I have to shade but I needed to practice so I took up tazzy's offers for collabs. I think collabs are the best way to practice cause you only have to do the part you need practice in (in my case, shading.) Also, I finally have the chance to show you guys freeks new markings that I'd been workin on ever since I decided to make a new fursona, cause freek kinda deviated into his own character. As I colored tazzy's character I noticed they had similar ankle/elbow markings and that was really wierd. The changes in freeks markings are as follows: -Bands have been removed because there were too many, and because my NEW sona will have them instead. -Tail stripes differ from tendril stripes -Tendrils tip color denote mood -Hair color reversed and no longer dyed. -Tribal markings are back to natural stripes. -No tattoos (new sona has em) -Claws are bicolored -Glow In the Dark has been removed (new sona will have them instead) -Eyebrow marking is attached to muzzle marking. And last but not least: Neither me nor my collaborator support or approve of dogfighting outside of fiction. bg stock credit: ~TooMuchFilth-stock Comments
I've been meaning to say this, but I haven't been able to:
You're artwork is F-in' incredible. Never beat yourself up about it; it's artwork like yours that inspires me to try my hardest at drawing every day of my life. -- "In the period table, theres an element called Flan." Me: In the words of the tank from Left 4 Dead: RRUAAAAARRGHH! Rough Translation: You delicious liek SANDVICH! Nice picture but tisk tisk on dog fighting
-- Check out my Gallery for Art Trades and Request Openings + Commissions! [link] This is really awesome! I love the lighting
-- Rule #32 of Zombieland: Enjoy the little things ~Horror-Forever ~avpalternative ~Left-4-Dead-Club I understand there is a great big differance between real and fiction. I still don't like dogfighting, real or not.
Besides the point, I love the shading job you did on the dogs, it highlights their muscular frame perfectly. They look so powerful and yet so graceful. The brindle effect on the right pitbull is gorgeous. This reminds me for some reason (must be the dogs) of going to the dog park today. I met a large male pitbull who was a big oaf. Such a goofy sweetheart. I love pitbulls. <3 -- If you can't trust me with a choice, then how can you trust me with a baby? |
